The products have started to land....

Yayy I can now spill some of the beans about one of my new ventures....!!  We have developed a new range of products, under the name Altered Originals. I made them with Art Journaling in mind but the can be used for soooooooooooooooooooooooo much more. The first products were the downloads HERE which you all know about. And I have just taken delivery of the 2nd. Any ideas..???

Is this any easier...??

Or this...?

Or maybe this...???

Oh yes..you got it. These are the first 8 of the new spray inks I have been developing. Yes, I did say first 8...!!!! There are more of the little beauties in the pipe line.  So what are they..??

They are a range of waterbased dye inks which come in 8 vibrant colours available in a 50ml spray bottle.
Inks can be sprayed directly from the bottle for beautiful backgrounds or decanted into our smaller spritzers. Add a little Blonde Moments Pearl Powders with them for a soft shimmer effect. Their translucent qualities make them ideal for layering and applying with a brush for a watercolour effect.
Ideal for - Spraying, Stenciling, Blending backgrounds, Layering, Masking, Painting and whereever your creativity may lead you...!!
I have always loved the Adirondack colour washes by Ranger, but , you know me, I wanted brighter, bolder, more vibrant colours. And so thats what I did. I will still be using my Adirondack colourwashes alongside mine, so no need to panic....I am just filling in what I feel are the gaps in the market, lol.

I will be getting some how-to's, some step by steps and hopefully some video footage of how they work and what you can do with them asap. Promise..!!!

All I can say at the moment is, yes you've guessed it...

"I just Frikkin love them...!!!"

Heres the rundown of colours, one by one...

Burnt Orange

Fuschia

Granite

Hot Pink

Jade

Lime

Pomegranate

Sky Blue

Gorgeous aren,t they...??

They are on the website HERE, but you won,t be able to order them till Monday.

To celebrate their launch I will be giving away a full set today. All you have to do is leave me a comment on which you think may be your favourite colour and why. If you are anything like me it will alter all the time, lol.

Now I know its really late but heres my contribution to WOYWW ( Whats on your Workspace Wednesday. Now I,m not sure if it is within the rules to post so late so here goes. To blog hop around over 100 more little peeks into others creative workstations, then pop to its originator Julia

As usual it is spread across loads of desks.

There is a pile of Tim's stamps, a drawer full of masks and stencils, a couple of journals in progress, basket of inks, inky kitchen towel, paints and a letter block tray.

A tray of Distress inks, 2 more journals in progress, inked and sprayed tagsa, mahoosive box of Adirondack colourwashes.

File full of Top Secret images..!!!,File full of my downloads, numerous cans of Pepsi Max and empty tea mugs, the biscuit barrel before I dropped it and smashed it completely, lol, and 3 printers trays, with works in progress. Our Ben has got the printers trays on a special offer this weekend, so I went and snaffled these before they all vanish..!!! If you fancy one the offer is HERE

We,ve had fun in the kids classes this week, making cards for Fathers Day, or in some cases their significant other..!!! These are 2 of the cards.

We inked, we faux bleached, we stamped, we watercoloured, we cut we stuck, we had a beaut time. Heres some photos from oone of the classes.

And heres a few pages from little Sarahs journal...Not bad for 9 years old yeah..??

Well, its my Northern Soul do at Brighouse tonight, can,t wait, really need a good dance to blow the cobwebs away. It,s been a strange old week, messing with my head a bit, and so a good old blow out will do the trick..!! Teaching a gypsy workshop tomorrow and then a childrens birthday party for sixteen  9 yr olds..!!!!  But all is well, as The Babe will be home for a couple of days, to keep me in mischief. Yes I know it should read "out of mischief" but you know me too well, lmao...!!!

Enjoy and don,t forget to leave a comment  xx

Oooh Dyan, these look delicious what scrummy colours, so difficult to choose just one. But if forced to I think it would be Jade - I have always been attracted to those teal type shades of blue and green.
It looks from the samples as though these do not have a sheen or metallic content to them? I guess that is the idea of adding perfect pearls to them? Anyhoo good luck with the new range I'm sure they will fly off the shelves...

Wow what a cool idea...if you can't find what you want then simply make it!!
Congratulations on your new venture and as you have filled a gap in the market I'm sure you will be very successful with this new range.
I love green in any shade or form so am torn between jade and lime...... probably the lime as it's an original colour and looks really bright!
Good luck x

Oh yummy! My favourite? Well I was going to say the Fuchsia because I love purple and pink ~ I wear a lot of it. But them I saw the Jade which is really beautiful, and then there's the Burnt Orange. Decisions! decisions!

Darcy Marshall said...

ooooo how LUSH are they, I love the lime and the pomegranite, they are my A-list colours...today at least, but I am fickle and could easily be in love with sky blue and granite tomorrow.

I am sure they will all just fly out the door.xxx

OMG!!!!!

How fab are these. I have been thinking of trying these type of spray inks for a while and I think you have hit the mark with these colours - they are gorgous and vibrant. To pick a favourite - difficult - but on a fab sunny day like today - it has to be sky blue - even in Scotland - that's the colour of the sky today.

Oh no! Another range of products to collect addictively. They look very tempting and I love the idea of being able to decant into samll spritzers and then tweak with perfect pearls or whatever! I can see me needing ALL the colours but today's mood say the burnt orange would be a good one to start with (but maybe that's because I burnt a chocolate cake this morning so burning is on my mind!)

SeasideKaren said...

Lime, it's got to be lime.....even though it goes so well with the pomegranite....I know I can only pick one so it's lime, good job I don't only have to buy just 1 LOL!!

I think Lime is my favourite - really vibrant. Love that you can decide whether you want to add shimmer...or not...! x

Sarah Louise said...

Oh Dyan, you do spoil us. I cant wait to get my mitts on them, well done for being so clever.

As for your favourite colours, i would say the pinks and blues, so hotpink, fuschia, Jade and sky blue.

Virginia said...

Ohh Dyan

You're expecting us to decide on just one colour - you are having a laugh aren't you?

Well burnt orange of course looks like a mix of gorgeous sunsets and late summer sunflowers but hold on no maybe fushcia - we're in the middle of the most gorgeous summer blooms and obviously fushcia's are at a premium but so are the old english Sweet Williams that I've got on the breakfast bar that are the same colour - definitely my favourite - nope hold up granite - reminds me of the slate mines in Wales and the granite work tops I soooooooooooo admire - definitely gorgeous and go with those Blonde Moments papers I have (again not for the first time) and still love!

Hold up - hot pink - yep reminds me of my sister Melanie - absolutely vivacious and free spirits and vibrant summer souls! Wait for it just spotted Jade and well let's be honest it's beautiful and deep and soulful and relaxed and gorgeous and well just jade!

I also like lime - awakens the spirit with vibrant tones - definitely that first thing in the morning shower that you have mid summer when it's a little too warm and you have the shower on the cooler setting! Definitely my favourite, definitely - maybe not definitely because now we've got Pomegranate - reminds me of a large glass of Pimm's maybe mixed with a bit of lime it could be a jug of Pimm's with fruit? Getting closer to my favourite I'm sure

Ah Sky blue relaxed and blissful and gorgeous and relaxed and time to just be you, wow you really expect us to pick one - nope fraid not hun it's going to have to be all of them and I feel a large canvas shouting and it screaming for all those colours!

Have a beautiful weekend

Hugs

Rhayne said...

Gah, a fave?! I dislike being made to pick a favorite. What if the others get upset with me and won't let me use them? Huh? What then?!

Well, if I must, I'd go with Jade. It was a toss-up for Jade, Lime and Sky Blue (I love my greens and blues) and Jade is a bit in the middle of blue and green.

Julie said...

Wow - what a fantastic new venture for you and I love the colours!!! Think I'd have to go with Jade as my fave but closely followed by the Granite!! It's a hard pick though!! Best of luck!! Juliexx

Cat said...

Love them! Will we be trying them out at the summer art journal weekends? Maybe? Pretty please? What if I bring cake? I LOVE the granite- perhaps because i'm excited about trying it with the fuchsia-oooh- so exciting!! Xx

Diane said...

Wowzers, Dyan! How exciting is this? I think my fave colour would have to be Fuschia.....or is it Orange....?
Diane x

Cath said...

I love the new sprays, as for a fav it has to be the hot pink.
Have a great weekend.
Changed my mind it has to be Jade, no Granite no..............

Liverpool Lou (Anne) said...

Oooooooh absolutely gorgeous but which to choose hmmmm hot pink, fuschia, lime, hot pink, fuschia, lime, hot pink, fuschia, lime (thought if I kept saying them one would jump out) all of them hehe, but perhaps hot pink would certainly feature strongly for me in art journals - only just getting into them, but love to play and experiment and get inky and messy ;-)Am hoping I can use them on fabric too?
Love what everyone's been making - of course!
Anne xx

Julie Smith said...

They are all so fantastic and why wouldn't you want them all!? If you have to make me choose it has to be Jade and Lime, sorry can't choose just one

brigitte said...

i would love to try them out. will they be available in the US? first fav lime

ForgedinPaper said...

Oh they are just lush!! Hard to choose but I'm a grey girl at the moment and Granite has my vote.
Looking forward to more appearing soon. How's the dragon?

Ruth said...

What a brilliant idea! I m like the other Ruth, torn between jade and lime, but for me the jade wins by a whisker.

Chris Steer said...

How is one supposed to pick one colour out of those beuts!! OK so I'll choose Granite cos its different to anything I have, but thats not my favourite colour really so I'll choose jade cos I'm into green at the moment which is not normally my colour and then yet again I am a sort of pink girlie so I should choose the fushia - OMG I'll just have to buy everyone again - you do test us sometimes Dy LOL xx

Hugs from Chris x

Carol said...

Ohhhh ahhhhh....I like the Jade and the lime!!! I reckon they'll all disappear fast...sooooo gorgeous.

Sue said...

Halloween freak loves orange and lime!!!......this should be read in a "Gollum" style voice......Ok, I think I just lost the plot completely but you get the picture!!!

Lucy said...

Fan flippin tastic! A scrummy yummynous of vibrancy in a bottle. Fraid I can't pick a favourite as a girl has to have them all (naturally). Well done on filling in the gap - it needs someone oozing with creativity to do it well! Just wondering what needs a spritz of colour................

Spyder said...

Oh this is amazing Dyan, of course if you ever want/need someone to clear up... afterwards...oh M.G.! I just have to get into this, what have I been missing???Hpw am I supposed to stay sane with all those colours, am I the only person in the World to just have one colour of everything!? (favourite colour, of corse, just to try..) I'm now going to have to eat all the chocolate bisqwits in the cookie jar.

Jayne C said...

Great stuff Dyan, the inks are a fantastic idea and with great vibrant colours. I would go for grey, grungy, gorgeous, grubby, gritty 'GRANITE' cos I reckon with the translucent quality, it would be fantastic over each of the other colours if you wanted to grunge them up a bit!!!!!!! x

Lynne said...

Awesome inks Dyan!! Love the Jade ! But Pomegranate is a close second....and then there's lime....okay I love them all!

Anonymous said...

Ooo...what luvverly inks and colours Dyan. I like Sky Blue the bestest because the weather here this weekend has been atrocious! The sky was grey! There was wind and rain all weekend and with the Red Arrows an' all! Boohoo. The temp was 13c so it has been VERY cold. I LOVE the blue as it is reminiscent the perfect summer sky. TFS. ~Glen~

Oooh, they are all faulous! Picking 1 colour is cruel to all the others(and hard!!) Jade, no pomegranate, or granite or sky blue like the sky in Scotland this weekend! Okay have made my mind up ( well for 5mins anyway!) Jade.

Carmen said...

Ohhhh it's got to be the lime! How zingy is that? It practically vibrates out of the screen.

Love all that's going on on your desk(s?) at the moment - loving all the journals. Am just started on my first one - if I could just unlock the block between mind and pen I'd be ok :P

Muckypup said...

Ooh, well done you! I love these - I have been using other inks in mini misters to have some jazzier colours, but now I can just buy yours - cool! P.S Please tell where you got that fab flower stencil/mask thing you have been using - I love it too!
